Hemp shoes, answered
Are these waterproof?
It depends on the model, and the difference matters. The Crossover Chelsea boots are the waterproof option — they use the same waterproofing approach as the brand's backpacks. The Seeker is water repellent with a PFC-free finish, and the Explorer V2 is described by its maker as splash friendly.
Repellent means rain beads and rolls off and a wet commute is a non-event. It does not mean you can stand in a puddle. If you need genuinely dry feet, take the boots.
What size should I order?
Sizes are listed in US with the EU equivalent alongside, so check the size selector rather than assuming your usual number. 8000Kicks advise sizing up if you are between sizes, as their shoes run slightly small.
Hemp uppers also soften and give slightly with wear, so a snug-but-not-tight fit on day one is usually right.
How do I clean them?
Spot clean with warm water and a mild soap, remove the insoles, and air dry everything away from direct heat.
Do not machine wash and never tumble dry. Machine washing strips the water-repellent finish and weakens the bond between upper and sole, and heat degrades the foam. The Care panel above has the exact guidance for this model.
Why is hemp a good material for a shoe?
Hemp fiber is longer and stronger than cotton at the same weight, which matters most where shoes actually fail: abrasion at the toe and flex points. It also breathes and handles moisture well, so the inside of the shoe stays drier, and it resists mildew better than cotton canvas.
Every model here uses a hemp insole as well as a hemp upper.
How does shipping and returns work?
Shipping is set by the brand that makes the shoes and is calculated at checkout once you enter your address. Orders ship directly from that maker, so an order with items from two brands arrives as two parcels with separate tracking.
Return windows and conditions are set by each brand rather than by AllHemp.com, so they vary by product. Email Shop@AllHemp.com with your order number and we will confirm the policy for your item and arrange it with the maker. Please do not ship anything back before contacting us.
