Industrial hemp is legal to grow, sell and own in the United States under the 2018 Farm Bill, and hemp products contain no meaningful THC. Industrial hemp is defined as cannabis containing 0.3% THC or less by dry weight. The fiber used in textiles, cord, paper and bioplastics carries none of the psychoactive effect associated with marijuana.

The hemp content is stated on every product page under Materials and hemp content. Some items are hemp blends, most commonly hemp with organic cotton, and the blend percentages are listed rather than hidden.

Hemp softens with every wash rather than wearing out. Woven hemp fabric sold by the yard should be pre-washed and dried before cutting, because hemp and hemp blends shrink on the first wash. Finished garments have already been through that process.
