1.0 mm Multi-Purpose, Non-Fraying Polyester Thread for Hand Sewing, Stitching, Beading and Crafts. Made from high-tenacity polyester fiber, this thread is pressed and twisted to emulate a silk texture. There are no strands and the surface is "silky" smooth and waxed.
Featuring bright and vibrant colors that won't fade or bleed. The perfect choice for delicate handicrafts. This thread provides the most intense shine of any polyester thread while still retaining all the characteristics that make polyester threads a preferable option when working with projects that require high-resistant materials. Any color you chose would only not be persistent throughout time, but resistant against the weather.
Our Silky threads are designed for handmade projects, also ensuring waterproof capabilities that do not degrade with time; that's why they are long-lasting, comfortable, soft, but also inexpensive. Polyester is resistant to shrinkage, but this type it is much smoother than the all-purpose thread, which helps to drastically minimize friction between the thread and leather, or skin. Additionally, it can withstand moderate heat for short periods.
Manufactured in a 1-ply format, which provides a much higher illusion of softness, as well as a much less “heavy” look. They are incredibly easy to use for small fashion accessories as well as to repair delicate objects. They provide an elegant and sophisticated touch that you cannot achieve with an average all-purpose waxed thread. In addition, our threads are dyed using an eco-friendly process, reducing pollution to a minimum. We're certified by several SGS reports as having a non-toxic production process.
